Jason Gabriel

President

Jason has served as President of Club Freedom since founding the organization his freshman year. Under his leadership, the club has grown from 20 members to more than 150 and has hosted student debates, discussions, and guest speakers. Jason also participates in Loyola’s Critical Conversations initiative, engaging students from across the political spectrum on the most difficult civic and moral questions. At the heart of Jason’s work is a simple conviction: before we can meaningfully contribute to our society, we must understand why we believe what we believe, or else our identity becomes a castle built on sand. If we want to preserve Western civilization, our generation needs to examine and reinforce its convictions instead of just inheriting them. As an American patriot committed to “bridging the divide,” Jason hopes to bring his peers together in gratitude for the greatest country in history while encouraging them to seriously consider the ideas and principles that are determining its future.
